    • Longtime sailor, beginning at age four, happy to be afloat in anything from dinghies to ocean cruisers
    • US Coast Guard licensed 100 Ton Captain and ASA Sailing Instructor; teaches to ASA’s Bareboat Cruising, Catamaran, Navigation and Docking endorsements.
    • Two years as a live-aboard sail-cruiser with wife and four children, ranging as far north as Newfoundland Canada and south to the Virgin Islands. 12,000 miles of family cruising and home-schooling.
    • Retired US Navy Commander, served 21 years as a Navy helicopter pilot; qualified shipboard Officer of the Deck.
    • Trailer-sailor & cruiser, 11 years with a 21′ pocket cruiser from Key West to California to the Chesapeake Bay (infant included)
    • Racing experience, around the buoys or overnight / offshore. Loves to play with spinnakers.
    • Jeff enjoys teaching others how to sail in a relaxed, family style.

    • Retired US Navy Captain, served 24 years as a Naval Flight Officer, Navigator and Oceanographer/Meteorologist;
    • US Coast Guard licensed captain and ASA Sailing Instructor; teaches up to ASA’s Advanced Coastal Cruising standard and Docking and Weather Endorsements.
    • Over 35 years experience in a wide range of power and sailing vessels;
    • Instructed sailing in Pensacola, Monterey, Chesapeake Bay, and Naples Italy; BVI, SVI, Windward and Leeward Islands;
    • Vice President of AlloraMare, Inc. marine services corporation;
    • President of the Solomons Business Association, 2011-2014;
    • Founder of Sail Solomons Sailing School and Yacht Charters; co-owner of Kinetic Sailing consultants;
    • Awarded ASA Outstanding Instructor for 2009, 2011 – 2014;
    • Charter Broker for multiple bareboat charter companies;
    • Lisa’s specialties include bareboat charter planning, navigation and marine meteorology.

    • Full time live aboard their Irwin 43, Ancora Qui currently in Solomons Island,
    • Tom is a lifelong sailor, and Beth started sailing when they met.   After a career as physical therapist, they began the cruising lifestyle in Summer of 2022.
    • Tom & Beth plan to spend summers on the Chesapeake, and winters someplace warm.

    • ASA-certified sailing instructor, with  USCG Masters license.
    • Raised in Maine, began sailing at the age of 9, “still learning”, and loves to get on the water every opportunity.
    • Retired from the US Navy, where he served as a Helicopter Pilot, and instructor.
    • 20+ years racing his Tartan Pride P270, Wicked Good, with family and crew on the Chesapeake and Patuxent River as a member of Southern Maryland Sailing Association (SMSA).  Also enjoys small-boat racing, and has raced his  Buccaneer 18 and has trailered from Maine to Florida to sail it.
    • President and long time board member of Souther Maryland Sailing Foundation, a nonprofit, whose mission is to make sailing accessible to youth an the community.  The foundation is the organization behind Sailing Center Chesapeake,  the High School sailing program in St. Mary’s county.

    • ASA-certified sailing instructor, with  USCG Master 500T, All Oceans, and 5000hp Dedicated Duty Engineer.
    • Grew up sailing on the Great Lakes in a multi-generational sailing family.
    • Began Sailing full time professionally after graduating BFA in Theatre Arts.  Forty years on the water sailing Caribbean, Western Mediterranean, East Coast USA, Bahamas & Capetown.  Thousands of miles sailing coastal, offshore, and transatlantic.
    • Founder and President of DAMSEL MARINE SERVICES in Stuart Florida. Sails on numerous kinds of vessels in many locations.  Focused on conducting offshore yachts safely and efficiently to new destinations.
    • Happily owns a Compact 19 for 20 years, and restoring a classic Tartan 27
    • Successfully kept Jeff Carlsen out of trouble (no easy task) since 7th grade.
